Ready for serious storage capacity?  How about 7,000 hours of digital music; 320,000 digital photos; 1,000 hours of digital video; 250 two hour DVD quality films.  That’s what you get with a 1TB drive.

1TB for most of us is just overkill.  You don’t take 1TB worth of photos unless you are a digital photographer taking high-res pictures with a top of the line SLR.  You definitely don’t have 1TB of music.  1TB of games?  It’s a possibility, but I really doubt it.  The only way you should have 1TB of anything is if you are a professional that works in the creative field.  Maybe a video editor, or a photo retoucher.  I can’t see needing that much space unless you are in a pretty specialized niche such as the one’s listed above.

Well, whether you need it or not, it’s fun to have.  We don’t NEED a plasma TV.  We don’t NEED a sound system that could make people at a concert ask you to turn down the volume.  That’s right, we don’t need these things… but we want them!
